Yaupon Holly (#25)
Native to the southeastern United States including Georgia, the most common cultivars of this tree are slow-growing shrubs popular for their dense, evergreen foliage and their adaptability to pruning into hedges. The fruit is an important food for many birds and mammals. Native Americans used the leaves and stems to brew a tea.
