Live Oak (#23)
Native to the southeastern U.S. including Georgia, the branches host plants such as Spanish moss, ball moss, and resurrection fern, providing shelter for wildlife. Native Americans bent branches for trail markers and the USS Constitution was constructed from live oak harvested on St. Simons Island, GA.
