Cherry Bark Oak (#15)
Because of the tree’s good form and quality, it is regarded as one of the best red oaks. The light reddish-brown wood is used for interior finishing, veneer, furniture, and cabinets. Many wildlife species consume the acorn, including both the gray and fox squirrel, deer, raccoon, and many birds (wild turkey, blue jay, wood duck, and grackle).
