Southern Catalpa

Southern Catalpa (#22)

Native to the southeastern United States including Georgia, the wood is brittle and hard, but does not rot easily.  It is used for fence posts and railroad ties.  Some plant it to attract the catalpa worm, which is harvested and used as fish bait.
